Computer analysis of image and speech signals
Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, Nowowiejska 15/19,
prof. Włodzimierz Kasprzak, Ph.D., D.Sc.
The event will consist of two parts: a lecture and a show in the robotics laboratory. The lecture will outline the rules of computer analysis of digital images and speech signals and examples of their applications in various areas of technology. Then in the laboratory there will be a presentation of functional capabilities of robots controlled by speech and image. In near future, there will be a significant growth of the need for devices helping people in their daily duties. The devices will use natural (for people) forms of communication, such as speech and gesture commands.
During the presentation, participants will be able to ask questions and take an active part in the shows.
Length: 2 hours (lecture 1 hour + laboratory shows 1 hour)
