Secondary-School Graduates Day PERSPEKTYWY 2009

Secondary-School Graduates Day PERSPEKTYWY 2009

On 7-29 September 2009, a national information campaign Secondary-School Graduates Day PERSPEKTYWY 2009 will be held, organised by the ”Perspektywy” Education Foundation in cooperation with the Central Examination Board.

The aim of the campaign is to provide students of the last classes of general and technical secondary schools with extensive knowledge on the next year’s secondary-school leaving examination (matura) and on regulations on study application in the academic year 2010/2011.

The Secondary-School Graduates Day PERSPEKTYWY 2009 will be held in 18 academic centres in Poland, among others at Warsaw University of Technology on 9-10 September 2009.

The innovative form of the Secondary-School Graduates Day is based on the combination of presentation of the educational offer prepared by universities for the academic year 2010/2011 with professional lectures and presentations on the secondary-school leaving examination (matura) by experts from District Examination Boards.

Immense popularity of the two previous editions of the Secondary-School Graduates Days (last year it was visited by over 200,000 students of matura classes) shows that this is the right time for this kind of undertaking since until the end of September students have to make a preliminary declaration what subjects they are going to take at the secondary-school leaving examination in 2010. It is predicted that this year the Day will be attended by over 220,000 secondary-school graduates!
