Young scientists Towards the Challenges of Contemporary Technology

Three years ago Warsaw University of Technology PhD Student Board started an effort for young scientists integration. By continuing this initiative, we would like to sincerely invite you to participate in our 4th Conference of PhD Students and Young Scientists entitled Young scientists Towards the Challenges of Contemporary Technology, which will be held at Warsaw University of Technology, Poland on 21–23 September 2009. Its main goal is to allow PhD students from Poland and other countries to start co-operation in the beginnings of their scientific carrier.

This invitation is addressed first and foremost at young scientists who will present the most interesting aspects of their research in one of the following subject areas:

1. Nature Studies
2. Biomedical Engineering
3. Mechanics, Automation and Robotics
4. Town and Urban Planning, Architecture and Building Engineering
5. Applied Mathematics
6. Electronics and Information Technologies
7. Nanotechnologies and Materials
8. Social Sciences in Technology*

The Social Sciences in Technology session was introduced this year and we would like to invite particularly those authors who will present papers about:

- management, entrepreneurship and technology transfer,

- economical aspects,

- legal aspects, including intellectual property rights.

Deadline for registration is 31th May 2009.

We are very pleased to announce that our Conference is under the honorary patronage of Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education Professor Barbara Kudrycka, Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship Adam Struzik and Rector of Warsaw University of Technology Professor Włodzimierz Kurnik. Moreover, among others The National Centre for Research and Development is our institutional patron and also IEEE Poland Section provides its technical sponsorship over three of the Conference's subject areas.
