Dear Readers,

I have the pleasure to present to you the “Catalogue of Research Projects of Warsaw University of Technology”. It is a publication which outlines research projects conducted at the University in the academic year 2012/2013. It contains information which may be useful for WUT educational and industrial partners, as well as for employees, Ph.D. students and students of our University.

The publication includes a list of research projects, grouped in two separate volumes entitled: “Development of science and knowledge” and “Industrial and commercial applications”. There are, i.e., interdisciplinary projects of a few faculties, called University Research Programs, as well as numerous grants conducted within European Union Research Projects and other international projects.

Warsaw University of Technology conducts research of various subject matter, scale and range - basic and applied research, for many recipients, financed from various sources. The “Catalogue of Research Projects of Warsaw University of Technology” shows their diversity and significance. I hope that, apart from purely practical applications, the Catalogue will become a promotional material for our scientists and it will make their achievements more widely known.
