Aim of project
The main aim of the project is theoretical as well as experimental investigation of two types of chromatographic reactors: the column reactor (CR) and the rotating annulus reactor (RAR). Experimental investigations are carried out on a preparative scale using the investigated system constructed within this project.

The carried out investigations consist of:
Elaboration of models for both types of the chromatographic reactors used;
Determination of transport and equilibrium process parameters;
Elaboration of kinetics of the chemical reaction chosen for investigations;
Numerical implementation of the elaborated models;
Designing and construction of the experimental set-up, which contains both types of chromatographic reactors (CR and RAR);
Experimental investigations carried out in both chromatographic reactors;
Verification of the elaborated models.

Expected results
The obtained results are significant from theoretical and practical points of view — they can be a useful tool for modeling reactive chromatography processes carried out in reactors of different types and they can supply universal criteria for choosing an appropriate type of the chromatographic reactor. The most important achievement obtained during realization of the project is also the design and construction of the experimental set-up, which contains two types of preparative chromatographic reactors. This well-equipped experimental setup is a unique piece of apparatus in Poland.
