Aim of project
The main aim of the project is to establish theoretical basis for preparation of novel cyclopentadienylnickel catalysts for polymerization of olefi ns and acetylenes. New methods of preparation of cyclopentadienyl- and fl uorenylnickel complexes will be designed. These complexes will be used as precursors for new generation catalysts. Reactions of these complexes with alumoxane model prepared by us and with commercially available alumoxane will be studied. These studies will clarify interactions between alumoxanes with nickel complexes. The above catalysts will be tested in polymerization of olefi ns and acetylenes.
Expected results
Novel cyclopentadienyl- and fl uorenylnickel complexes will be prepared and characterized. These complexes will be applied as precursors of catalysts for polymerization of olefi ns and acetylenes. Publications, patents and presentations at scientifi c conferences will be results of the project realization.
