aim of project
Analysis of operation states of a micro-grid which cooperates with electric distribution networks belonging to the electricity utility is the subject of the project. It is assumed that the micro-grid can operate in a synchronous mode and also in an autonomous way — as an independent island. The aim of the project is: to determine conditions of cooperation between the micro-grid and electric distribution networks managed by the electricity utility, to develop methods and based on them algorithms to control the micro-grid in the synchronous and autonomous mode of operation, to elaborate methods of battery energy storage operation, to analyze possible operation ways of microsource controllers and energy storage controllers, to carry out exemplary power fl ow and short circuit currents calculations, to carry out analysis of micro-grid operation in transient states. It is assumed that the original solutions in the range of optimization of base settings of micro-source controllers and optimization of charge/discharge energy strategy in battery storages will be obtained. Proper problem solution algorithms based on evolutionary algorithms will be developed for that purpose.

expected results
Original methods and algorithms to control a micro-grid which cooperates with electric distribution networks belonging to the electricity utility and also results of the conducted computer simulations.
