aim of project
The aim of this project is the analysis of short circuit switching by high current contact systems and a complex method of designing of this kind of contact systems. The objects of theoretical and experimental investigations are, first of all, cone-shaped contacts applied in making switches and also tulip contacts applied in switches, earthing switches, and switch disconnectors.
expected results
The result of this project will be a presentation to professional engineers, scientists and engineering students, who are familiar with the design of high current switches, development of engineering design and explanation of physical phenomena occurring in this kind of contact systems. Physical phenomena are considerably more dangerous in their eff ects than in other kinds of contact systems. Reduction of contact erosion directly translates into an extension of usable operating life of the circuit breaker. The synthesis of constructional features, separated during the analysis of physical phenomena in contact systems will be accomplished. A way of creating constructional variants of contact systems, resulting in uniting mutual constructional features, will be presented. The results of this work will be presented at the international conferences, in a Ph.D. dissertation and in a monograph.
