Aim of project
The aim of the project is to analyse and model the QoS Internet signalling system. By the QoS Internet we mean the network, which can provide so called absolute QoS guarantees for packet streams handling by QoS classes of service. Moreover, we assume that in such a network user/application can send a QoS request to the network to establish a new connection and to reserve network resources to handling the packets of the connection with end-to-end QoS guarantees, similar to PSTN network. Therefore, to achieve it, we need to add a new functionality to the Internet.
This functionality concerns the following two main subjects:
1) a possibility to send a user signalling message, which contain a QoS request and a network ability to handle the message;
2) to guarantee a transfer the packet streams through the network.

Expected results
The results expected:
• call arrival models In the QoS Internet;
• signalling system schemes;
• congestion avoidance mechanisms in signalling system;
• numerical results of signalling system performance analysis;
• models for evaluation of signalling system scalability.
