Aim of project
The aim of this work concerns theoretical and experimental investigation of operation of known from radio transmission multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems in multimode fibers (MMF). This is possible due to some analogy between mutlipath propagation in radio transmission and modal dispersion in the fiber. The project involves both finding the appropriate modulation scheme and the most suitable radio frequency for this kind of transmission. The analysis of this kind of system should verify its potential of increasing MMF information capacity.

Expected results
The results will involve: - finding the best modulation scheme for MIMO transmission in MMF - adaptation of known from radio transmission signal processing methods for MMFs. - analysis of the complex MMF frequency response in a quest for finding appropriate frequency for transmission - publishing papers in international and polish journals/conferences
