Aim of project
Continuation of geodynamical investigations by absolute gravimetric measurements at Astro–geodetic Observatory of Warsaw University of Technology at Józefosław (near Warsaw) is the main goal of the project. The Observatory is located in the vicinity of the north-eastern periphery of the Teisseyre- -Tornquist Zone, which separates the main tectonic structures on the Polish territory. Such gravity non-tidal variations monitoring was started in the period 1996–2001 using the Polish absolute ballistic gravity meter ZZG. Recently the FG-5 No. 230 ( Micro-g) instrument has been used. Moreover, gravity changes investigations cover two other stations located on the east European tectonic platform (Lamkówko, Giby) and on the paleozolic platform (Ojców, Borowiec).

Expected results
Investigations scheduled in the project ought to add Polish gravimetric stations to the world absolute gravity stations net. The determined tendency of absolute gravity acceleration observed at Józefosław might allow proper interpretation of geodynamical position changes together with other geodetic techniques like satellite determinations, astrometric and tidal measurements. Determinations on the stations outside the Observatory located on other tectonic units may be treated as measurements executed in the period after 2001. They allow to draw conclusions about periodicity and tendencies of the secular gravity variations on the Polish territory.
