Aim of project
The purpose of the project is a displacement interferometer for gauge block length calibration. Surface detection is carried out using polychromatic light. The device is suitable for measurements of length up to 150 mm.

Expected results
The result of project is an interferometer for gauge block length calibration. A central interference fringe of polychromatic light (HeNe and diode laser) is used for the determination of the end surface position of the measured object. Distances referring to these positions are measured using counting fringe technique with a wavelength stabilized (single frequency) HeNe laser interferometer. The interferometer is placed in a thermally stabilized chamber.
