Aim of project
The main aim of the activity within this project is to design an UAV system for long endurance border surveillance and monitoring meeting high-level requirements in terms of reliability and safety (expected by other users of the national airspace and people on ground) and affordable for potential users.
Expected results
This breakthrough achievement will enable several new ways of UAV civil use. All of these could be carried out round the clock, regardless of time of day or night (also in fog, rain or snow). UAV could also perform these tasks noiselessly (low-power engines would be inaudible from the altitude of a few kilometers, which is important in view of the environment). This could also be helpful in detecting smuggling of people and goods across state borders.
