General information
The very beginning of our Faculty dates back to 1922 when Prof. Karol Adamiecki established the Chair of Work Organization Principles and Industrial Enterprises. After the recess caused by the World War II two Polish scientists – Prof. Chajtman and Prof. Zbichorski, both Heads of different departments at WUT - constituted the Institute of Management Organization. In 1985 it evolved into the Institute for Organization of Production Systems. As result, in 2008 the former Institute for Organization of Production System became a fully independent Faculty – Faculty of Management.
The first 2-year Master’s degree program was launched in 1953. In 1970 (when the Institute of Management Organization was established) the first 5-year Master degree program in Industrial Organization and Management started. The next milestone was achieved in 1997 when 2.5-year Master concurrent studies in Management and Marketing were launched.
The Faculty of Management currently offers a broad portfolio of studies on both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees as well as doctoral studies in the nearest future for 50-80 students. The Faculty employs over 50 academic staff members including: 18 full-time professors and associate professors and 34 assistant professors who are supported by 25 technical and administrative employees.
Although the Faculty's lecture halls, classrooms and research laboratories are located in a building on the WUT’s Southern Campus, we are planning to move to the new, state-of-the-art facilities.
