On the 15th of November 1915 at 13.00, in the Building of Physics of Warsaw University of Technology, the act of opening the University took place. The Main Building served then as a military hospital. From that moment on, the University has functioned under the name: Warsaw University of Technology, with Polish as the language of tuition. Before that day, its name had been the Polytechnic Institute of Tsar Nikolas the Second and tuition had been conducted in Russian. On the 90th anniversary of the event, the Senate of Warsaw University of Technology established the 15th of November the Day of Warsaw University of Technology.

The Academy of Music in Gdańsk hosted the closing ceremony of the competition as part of the 25th Polish Championship of Universities.

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has announced the final results of a competition for participation of universities in the educational programme ”Support of the Didactic Potential of Universities”.

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has adjudicated the competition for grants for outstanding young scientists. Among the grant holders, there is Katarzyna Pawlak, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Chemistry, WUT.

On the 30th of June, an agreement was signed on help in student education between Warsaw University of Technology and Technical and Vocational Schools no 2 under the name of Warsaw Uprising Soldiers in Mińsk Mazowiecki.

In the latest TOPMBA ranking, the MBA programme of the WUT Business School has been placed on the 25th position in Europe. The ranking is based on the evaluation made by global recruitment companies. For the first time in history an MBA programme run in Poland has been classified in a European ranking.

The Centre for International Cooperation of WUT and the WUT Students Self-Government invite students to take part in Summer School.
