GENERAL INFORMATION

The Business School is an inter-faculty unit of Warsaw University of Technology offering the following postgraduate Master's programmes in business administration:

  • International MBA ,
  • Executive MBA .

And also,

  • Preparatory Course For Diploma in International Financial Reporting,
  • The programme in Pharmaco-economics, Marketing and Pharmaceutical Legislation .

Warsaw University of Technology Business School was created in 1991 as a joint venture of:

  • London Business School- number five worldwide in the Financial Times' ranking 2007
  • HEC School of Management Paris- the best business school in Europe (Financial Times 2006)
  • Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration - the best Norwegian school of commerce
  • Warsaw University of Technology - the best Polish university of technology

WUTBS is one of the leaders in business education for managers in Poland. It is classified in leading positions in prestigious rankings of Polish MBA programmes. Since 1993 the School has been a member of EFMD. The strong advantage of the School is multicultural nature of education -both on the hand of lecturers as well as students.

The School emphasizes also in the education process the participation of business practitioners from such reputable companies as: Accenture, Case&White, l'Oreal, Oracle, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Procter&Gamble. The MBA classess are conducted 100% in English, with use of inteactive didactive methods and new technologies (videoconferencing, distance learning).

In 2006 MBA programme of the WUT Business School has received EPAS accreditation awarded by prestigious EFMD - European Foundation for Management Development, which groups leading business schools across the world. CURRICULUM

INTERNATIONAL MBA

The International MBA is a one-year full time postgraduate programme taught in English. This programme is addressed to alumni of postgraduate studies who are interested in challenges of European economy and its requirements in the field of management. Participants in the IMBA programme must have had a five-year education leading to a master's degree.

The programme is divided into ten blocks. The course starts in the beginning of September with a pre-sessional, not obligatory Business English and Mathematics course.

Modern interactive methods of education are used in the School, such as case studies, discussion classes, computer simulations, management laboratory, management workshop or virtual discussion groups. Stress is placed on active student participation in learning. Lectures in every programme block are given by western lecturers invited by our School as guests. Polish experts from international corporations lead practical classes and conduct the fullfilment of tasks assigned to students.

The programme leads to the title International Master of Business Administration.

Executive MBA

The Executive MBA is a two-year part-time postgraduate programme. The programme is designed to address the needs of professional managers. It aims to enhance their business skills. Participants in the EMBA programme must have had a five-year education leading to a master's degree and at least three years of professional work documented.

Course divided into ten blocks. The course starts in the beginning of September with a pre-sessional, not obligatory Business English and Mathematics course.

Modern interactive methods of education are used in the School, such as case studies, discussion classes, computer simulations, management laboratory, management workshop or virtual discussion groups. Stress is placed on active student participation in learning. Lectures in every programme block are given by western lecturers invited by our School as quests. Polish experts from international corporations lead practical classes and conduct the fulfillment of tasks assigned to students. The large involvement of international companies in teaching makes the programme strongly oriented to business practice.

Preparatory Course For Diploma in International Financial Reporting

In response to an urgent need to prepare Polish businessmen for introduction of new standards of financial reporting, Warsaw Univeristy of Technology Business School together with ATC International , as first in Poland, launched a cycle of training on International Financial Reporting Standards leading to the Diplomma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR) awarded by the British association ACCA. Courses comprise 10 full days in total - a 5-day intensive introductory course followed, by a 5 day revision course with a full mock examination.

The programme in Pharmaco-economics, Marketing and Pharmaceutical Legislation .

The post-graduate studies are aimed at graduates with a Master Degree who are working or intend to work in the pharmaceutical sector as well as the institutions managing and financing healthcare. These are weekend studies (one semester 133 h) held in Polish.
