Representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology and the delegation of Austrian research institutes and ministries

Representatives of Austrian Cooperative Research (ACR), as well as the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure and the Federal Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, visited the Warsaw University of Technology. They met the Vice‑Rector for Research, Professor Mariusz Malinowski, and staff members from the Centre for Innovation, the Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies CEZAMAT, and the Centre for International Cooperation. The discussions focused on technology transfer, research potential and scientific collaboration.

During the meeting, Professor Malinowski presented the activities and scientific potential of our university. Iris Filzwieser, President of Austrian Cooperative Research, outlined the work of her organisation, which brings together Austrian research institutes, and discussed opportunities for international collaboration.

Participants also heard presentations from the Centre for Innovation, the Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies, and the Centre for International Cooperation. Support for academic staff in the area of technology transfer, offered by the Centre for Innovation, was outlined by Justyna Choińska‑Jackiewicz, Head of the Innovation Brokers Division; Dr Jakub Kaczmarski, Head of the Innovation Incubator Division; and Piotr Bednarski from the Intellectual Property Protection Division. Aleksandra Mościcka‑Studzińska, Deputy Director of the Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies CEZAMAT, presented the research potential of the unit. Grzegorz Robak, Director of the Centre for International Cooperation, discussed the scientific collaboration between the Warsaw University of Technology and universities and research institutes in Austria, the teaching cooperation with Austrian universities within the Erasmus+ and ATHENS programmes, and the University’s cooperation with Austrian companies.

An important part of the meeting was the discussion on opportunities for developing joint research projects and building long‑term cooperation.
