The "Huber Squad" team, consisting of Łukasz Latoch, Jakub Kuliberda, and Mateusz Kuczek, won 3rd place in the final of the 4th edition of the nationwide engineering competition Symkaton 4.0. Additionally, the team also secured a special award for the best use of computer simulation software. All team members are students at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology.

Eight teams qualified for the Symkaton 4.0 final and had 24 hours to complete the challenge of building a Mars rover. Their mission involved constructing a vehicle from the provided components, and designing, manufacturing, and mounting a propeller drive that would enable it to drive on a flat surface. A key element was preparing a numerical model of the propeller drive in the Ansys environment, followed by 3D printing the best solutions. The rovers were tested in three racing competitions: a sprint, a long-distance race, and a target run, where precision and innovation of the design were crucial.

Huber Squad not only secured 3rd place in the overall classification but also proved to be the best in the category of using computer simulation tools, winning the special award for numerical modelling. This award highlights their proficiency in advanced technical analysis and their ability to precisely utilise the Ansys environment – a key competency in today's industry. As the organizer noted, the success of "Huber Squad" demonstrates the high standard of education at the Warsaw University of Technology, which emphasizes the practical application of simulation technologies.

Symkaton is a competition organized by Symkom and the AGH University of Science and Technology. Its goal is to promote creative approaches to solving engineering problems.
