Our researchers in the World's TOP 2% Scientists 2021 ranking
In the list, the Warsaw University of Technology has 47 representatives on the list covering the entire research career and 38 on the list of achievements for the last year alone.
TOP 2% Scientists 2021 consists of two separate lists. The first evaluates the scientific achievements made in a research career (using data collected since 1960); the second only considers publications and citations from the most recent calendar year. 1058 researchers from Poland were on the scientific careers' list – they are representatives of 163 scientific institutions (universities and research institutes). In the previous year's chart, we had 1092 Poles from 165 institutions.
The chart is prepared by Stanford University in cooperation with the Elsevier Publishing House.
The TOP 2% ranking was developed based on the scientific achievements of individual researchers according to the bibliometric index. The assessment criteria were the Hirsch index, the number of citations (including self-citations), Impact Factor, and the position and role on the list of authors.
