During the Swedish Royal Couple’s visit to Poland, the conference “Scaling Innovation for Europe: Sweden and Poland in Partnership” took place at the Copernicus Science Centre, with the Warsaw University of Technology as a co-organizer. Representatives of the University participated in the event, with students presenting their technological projects.
The meeting was attended by the King and Queen of Sweden, along with representatives of the Swedish government: Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard, Minister for Civil Defence Carl-Oskar Bohlin, and State Secretary at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Diana Janse. The Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba, was also present at the event.
The conference was dedicated to fostering cooperation between Poland and Sweden in innovation, investment, and the development of technological ecosystems. Discussions focused on strengthening connections between industry, academia, and public administration, as well as promoting collaboration in cutting-edge technologies. Piotr Dardziński, PhD, Director of the Innovations Centre at the Warsaw University of Technology, participated in one of the discussion panels, highlighting the importance of collaboration between businesses, the public sector, and universities in fostering innovation.
A highlight of the meeting was the presentation of student projects, with nine student research groups from the Warsaw University of Technology showcasing their innovative technological and research solutions.
