In this year's edition, WUT surpassed the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
In the 2025 Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) secured 754th place globally and 4th nationally among Polish institutions. The ranking assessed 21,462 universities worldwide, with only the top 2,000 making the list - including 40 from Poland.
This year's result places WUT among the top 3.6% of highest-rated universities worldwide, marking an improvement from last year's edition (755th place and top 3.7%). The university also improved its national position - rising from 5th to 4th place.
Among Polish institutions, higher positions were achieved by: Jagiellonian University (395th place), University of Warsaw (427th), and AGH University of Science and Technology (627th). The CWUR ranking is based on seven indicators grouped into four main categories:

The ranking was dominated by American universities - 8 of the top 10 institutions come from the USA. The top three places were taken by: Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Stanford University. China boasts the largest number of ranked institutions - 346.
