Pursuant to Article 19(1)(2) of the Act on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended), the President of the Warsaw University of Technology Student Council also sits on the University Council by virtue of law.

The new term in office of the University Council begins on 1 January 2021 and ends on 31 December 2024.
