The composition of the University Council and its President were appointed by the decision of the Senate of the Warsaw University of Technology. Krzysztof Pietraszkiewicz, the President of the Polish Bank Association, was once again appointed president. 

“I see a lot of work to be done and an important role in the activities of the Warsaw University of Technology for the University Council,” stressed Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba, Rector of the WUT. “I would like you to be helpful to us in various matters, not only those defined by the statute, but we would also like to make use of your cooperation and help in other areas where we simply need certain advice and expertise.”

“Thank you for your trust,” said Krzysztof Pietraszkiewicz, the President of the University Council. “We will try to do everything to serve the Warsaw University of Technology, this community, but also more broadly the Polish science and the economy in the best possible way, because this is how we understand the idea of creating university councils — not only as an addition to the functioning of the University, but as a starting point of an important path, the next stage in the development of Polish universities.”

Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba handed over the deeds of nomination to the members of the University Council present in the Senate Hall.

Pursuant to the Act on Higher Education and Science, the President of the Warsaw University of Technology Student Council also sits on the University Council. Currently, this function is performed by Michał Rodowski.
