Funding for the internationalization of WUT Doctoral Schools

The Warsaw University of Technology has become one of the 10 beneficiaries of the prestigious “STER – Internationalization of Doctoral Schools” programme of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The program, scheduled to last 3 years, is aimed at increasing international cooperation of WUT Doctoral Schools.

As part of STER, our University intends above all to increase the number of PhD students from abroad, invite more foreign supervisors, foster cooperation between WUT Doctoral Schools and foreign ones, co-finance long-term foreign placements for students of Doctoral Schools, increase the number of classes conducted by visiting professors and hold summer schools for PhD students from Poland and abroad.

The “STER – Internationalization of Doctoral Schools” programme is aimed at Polish universities and research institutions which run doctoral schools.

Apart from the Warsaw University of Technology, the winners of this year’s competition are Jagiellonian University in Kraków, the University of Wrocław, AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Gdańsk University of Technology, Lodz University of Technology, Silesian University of Technology, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
