The SET Panel Early Career Award diploma for dr. hab. inż. Piotr Samczyński, WUT Professor

Dr. hab. inż. Piotr Samczyński, WUT Professor from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, has received the SET Panel Early Career Award.

The prestigious award is presented by the Sensors & Electronics Technology (SET) Panel of NATO’s Science and Technology Organization (STO).

The award was granted in recognition of his contribution to the work of the NATO SET panel and in particular for his leadership of the research conducted by the NATO SET-258 research group on Deployable Multiband Passive/Active Radar (DMPAR) – Deployment and Assessment in Military Scenario, focusing on the novel topic of multiband active/passive radar. He was also recognized for his extraordinary contribution to the development of the DMPAR technology, which is planned to be implemented in NATO member states’ armed forces in the coming years.

Piotr Samczyński has been actively involved in the work of the SET NATO STO panel research groups since 2008 and in 2017 he was appointed chairperson of NATO SET-258, which he has been leading since March 2018.
