The work of our graduate entitled "Adaptation of the artillery tower (Fort Malakoff) in the Głogów Fortress for a training centre with accommodation for someliers and producers of wine and wine products " turned out to be the best in the category of bachelor's and engineer's theses.

The competition committee appreciated "the original design of the monument's adaptation and an excellent example of solving the problem of preserving historic values and giving the building a new, attractive and socially desirable function".

The aim of the project was to create a year-round facility, which in selected periods would operate as a training centre bringing together growers and scientists dealing with wine science, which is still in its infancy. For the rest of the year, the facility would serve as an oenological centre for tourists seeking not only a rest in the countryside, but also open to discovering and tasting wines and local cuisine.

The project assumes the location of the hotel part with catering facilities in the building recreating the cubic capacity of the former ramparts surrounding the fort, design: Iwona Krawiec

For the first edition of the competition, it was possible to submit theses defended between 2018 and 2020 on the issues of broadly understood heritage management, which included original research and analysis results. 68 papers were sent, with 13 from the Warsaw University of Technology: 25 bachelor's and engineer's theses, 30 master's and 13 doctoral theses defended at universities all over Poland.
