This was a rare opportunity to see the only surviving PZL P.11c, a legendary Polish fighter aircraft, or the world’s unique and Poland’s first electric-powered motor glider AOS-71.

Visitors were able to learn more about the most eminent figures in the history of Polish aviation, such as Tadeusz Sołtyk (a sport and flight instruction aircraft design engineer); Stanisław Skalski (a pilot who fought in the Battle of England); and Stanisław Skarżyński (the first Pole to fly over the Atlantic breaking the world’s record for flight distance).

The exhibition was accompanied by a conference with the following speakers:

• Polish Aviation Institutions and Organizations, including the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL), the Institute of Aviation, the Military University of Technology, the League of Friends of Polish Aviation;
• entities representing the aviation industry, including General Electric, Airbus Defence and Space, Thales PL and Thales Alenia Space; and
• the Student Research Groups operating at the Warsaw University of Technology Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, i.e. the Astronautic Student Research Group, KNL, MELAVIO, MELProp and SAE.
