Tomasz Miś, a doctoral student from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, has decided to use his expertise to prepare materials for people from Ukraine who, due to the ongoing war, may have difficulty accessing the Internet communication and mobile telephony.

The instructions are available in the form of short films, pictures with descriptions or texts in Ukrainian. They tackle a number of issues: reception of long wave in Ukraine, night reception of direct information from Ukraine on medium wave in Poland, reception of Ukrainian and foreign radio on medium wave in Ukraine and reception of radio broadcasts for Ukraine on short wave.

– Nowadays, radio reception for all too many people boils down to simply launching the application on the phone – in the absence of the Internet or too weak connection, it is problematic – says Tomasz Miś. – The prepared materials are designed as a simple didactic for people who have not previously been in contact with a "classic", multiband radio/radio receiver, but have been cut off from other means of communication.

Our doctoral student also keeps updating the radio frequencies of the broadcasts for Ukraine, which are prepared and made available by various stations from around Europe and the whole world.

All materials are available on the Facebook of the Association "Babice Transatlantic Radio-Station Culture Park", in which Tomasz Miś operates.
