For the 12th time in a row, the rowing eight representing the Warsaw University of Technology defeated the team from the University of Warsaw. The jubilee, the 70th race was held on October 9, 2021 during the 5th Warsaw Amateur Rowing Championships.

This year, crews from the Warsaw University of Technology and the University of Warsaw fought for victory not on the Żerański Canal, but on the section between the Poniatowski Bridge and the Łazienkowski Bridge. The first on the finish line was the eight from the University of Technology with the time of 2:35:40, ahead of the UW team by 2 seconds.

The regatta is a tradition of the academic Warsaw, which is modeled on the rivalry between the Oxford University Boat Club and Cambridge University Boat Club.
