In times when we should pay attention not only to the possibilities that various raw materials give us, but also to their impact on the environment, turning to cannabis appears to be a natural choice.

Years ago this plant was indispensable for many people – it was used in weaving, herbalism, and for cooking purposes. Over time, true hemp lost its popularity. The natural clothes woven from its extremely durable fibers were replaced by synthetic fabrics and the plant itself was more and more often confused with the hallucinogenic Cannabis sativa L. var. indica. Nowadays, with the growing importance of ecological solutions, the idea of using true hemp returns. Unfortunately most people are not aware of the wide possibilities that it offers. One of the most original hemp-solutions is hempcrete, a mixture of hemp shives and lime used in architecture and construction.
