Vice Minister of Science and Technology of China Visits WUT

On Friday, November 22, the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) hosted a meeting focused on collaboration in scientific research and dual degree programs between Polish and Chinese universities. The meeting was co-chaired by Vice Minister Lin Xin of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, WUT's Vice-Rector for Research. The event also included representatives from the Embassy of China in Warsaw, the China Science and Technology Exchange Center, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, a partner institution of WUT.

The meeting began with Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, WUT's Vice-Rector for Research, who welcomed the guests and delivered a presentation that highlighted key information about WUT, its distinguished researchers, and its priority research areas. He also emphasized WUT's role as a leading research university. Following his address, Grzegorz Robak, Director of WUT's Centre for International Cooperation, outlined the agreements and partnerships WUT has established with Chinese universities. He also presented WUT's offer of studies in English-taught degree programs.

In her speech, the Vice Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China emphasized the importance of collaboration between Poland and China and the efforts to support scientific cooperation between our countries.

The next part of the meeting focused on the collaboration between the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. This topic was addressed by Prof. Agnieszka Jastrzębska and Prof. Roman Szewczyk from WUT's Faculty of Mechatronics, who discussed both the current and potential future areas of scientific cooperation.
