WUT Main Building ready to celebrate its bicentenary

The heart of the Warsaw University of Technology is adorned in jubilee decor, a sign that the celebration of our University's 200th anniversary is entering a key phase. Here is how the Main Building has been prepared for the festivities.
The 200th anniversary of the Warsaw University of Technology is an exceptional moment that prompts reflection on its rich history, academic tradition, and the role it has played in scientific and social life for two centuries. It is a time for reminiscence, summation, and pride in the legacy of many generations of students, staff, and alumni, while also being an opportunity to look to the future with renewed energy.
The bicentenary celebrations are reflected not only in events but also in the University's visual setting. The façade of the Main Building is illuminated with a spectacular jubilee light display. It invites one to stop for a moment and learn the history of this place. Simultaneously, it creates a calm and solemn atmosphere that can be felt by all passers-by in Politechniki Square. The illumination is visible between 5:30-8:00 AM and 3:00-10:00 PM.
The ceremonial decor is complemented by decorations in the form of stickers placed inside the Main Building. Thanks to them, the building's interior space gains a festive character. They are designed in a white-gold-navy blue colour scheme and display information about the 200th anniversary of the Warsaw University of Technology and the year 1826, in which our University's history began.
In the lobby of the Main Building of WUT, there is a medal dispenser which enables the purchase of a commemorative coin. It is adorned with a unique design referencing the University's bicentenary and serves as a lasting memento of this exceptional jubilee. It is worth emphasizing that only one coin model is available, and payment is cashless.
All these elements mutually complement each other and create a cohesive setting that will accompany the events honouring the 200th anniversary of the Warsaw University of Technology.
