WUT at the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2025 conference

The brain - symbol of curiosity and innovation

Join us on June 4–5 at EXPO XXI for one of the largest STEM, Tech & IT conferences in Europe! At our stand, we will showcase the achievements of our researchers in the field of quantum technologies, along with exciting student research group projects. We will also be sharing information about our university and its educational programmes. Don’t miss our appearance on the Sci/Eng stage!

The main theme of this year’s Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit is collaboration – a powerful force that drives innovation. The Summit is a unique opportunity to see and hear from outstanding guests, get inspired by the hottest topics in the Tech&IT industry, and feel part of the technological revolution.

At the WUT stand, visitors will have the opportunity to talk with staff members, PhD students, and undergraduate students. Researchers will explain and demonstrate how the first quantum computer infrastructure in Poland, based on ion trap technology, is being built from the ground up. This project is being carried out by a consortium led by the Warsaw University of Technology. Our experts will also present the goals and future plans of a new university unit - Centre of Excellence of Quantum and Nuclear Technology – C-QuaNT.

During the event, our student research groups will also present their projects. The Student Vehicle Aerodynamics Group will showcase a model of a racing motorcycle designed for research in a wind tunnel. The Student Photonic Engineering Group will present the LASPA project – an experiment that explores the influence of laser light on plant growth in microgravity conditions – as well as the GROMiT telescope. The Biomedical Equipment Research Group is preparing a demonstration of the Ilizarov apparatus – an external bone stabilizer used in orthopedic surgery for bone lengthening, correction, and stabilization.

At the WUT stand you will also have a chance to meet female students who will share their experiences and explain what and how you can study at the Warsaw University of Technology.

And that’s not all. On the 4th of June at 10:40, professor Georgy Kornakov from the Faculty of Physics will take the Sci/Eng stage with his presentation ”Quantum Technologies: Driving the Next Frontier of Scientific Discovery at C-QuaNT Excellence Center at WUT”.
