WUT chemist joins the Editorial Advisory Board of Dalton Transactions
Prof. Artur Kasprzak from Warsaw University of Technology’s Faculty of Chemistry has joined the Editorial Advisory Board of Dalton Transactions, a journal published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, an institution of global standing.
Such invitations are extended only to researchers with a well‑established academic record and a recognised contribution to the development of their field. It is therefore an exceptional distinction that highlights the international significance of Professor Kasprzak’s research.
Our scientist works at the Chair of Organic Chemistry at the WUT Faculty of Chemistry. His expertise covers organic, supramolecular and materials chemistry. He is particularly interested in developing environmentally friendly methods for conducting organic syntheses without the use of toxic solvents. He is the author of numerous new compounds and materials designed for environmental monitoring. His work includes pioneering, globally unique applications of sumanene in nanomaterials that reduce the toxicity of caesium. Professor Kasprzak has received many awards and distinctions, including Rising Star in Organic & Inorganic Chemistry (2025), the Young Scientist Medal (2024), and the Prof. Mieczysław Mąkosza Scientific Award (2023). He is also the author of numerous publications and patents and serves as Chair of the WUT Young Scientists Council.
Dalton Transactions is one of the most recognisable journals in the field of inorganic and organometallic chemistry. Publishing in this title brings not only prestige but also real visibility for research within the international scientific community. Its strong bibliometric indicators further underline its standing: the journal is awarded 140 points in the Polish ministerial list of scientific journals and is classified in the highest quartile (Q1) of the Journal Citation Reports database.
