The listing covered a total of 400 universities (46 more than last year), including 25 universities in Poland. Out of Polish universities, two have been ranked higher than the Warsaw University of Technology, i.e. the Jagiellonian University (6th place) and the University of Warsaw (7th place). This makes the Warsaw University of Technology the highest-ranking technical university included in the list.

It is worth noting that our University came in third in the employer reputation category. 

The top performers in the QS EECA (Emerging Europe and Central Asia) ranking include two universities from Russia and one from Estonia. The leader was Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia), followed by the University of Tartu (Estonia) and Saint Petersburg State University (Russia).

The QS EECA (Emerging Europe and Central Asia) ranking is based on 10 metrics. These are: academic reputation; employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, papers per faculty; global outlook; web impact; staff with PhD; citations per paper; international student ratio; and international faculty ratio.

The QS EECA (Emerging Europe and Central Asia) ranking has been prepared since 2014. The ranking is compiled by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a company specializing in education and international studies. They put together the overall QS World University Rankings and a number of regional and subject rankings.
