The Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering's Robotics Student Research Group (Koło Naukowe Robotyków) took third place in this year's Carolo-Master-Cup@Home, a competition of miniature autonomous cars.

Both last year and this year, the competition was held remotely. The Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Management served as our students' home base, where they worked on the implementation of competition's tasks. The category in which the creators of the Selfie car competed was a novel one. Roboticists debuted in the Advanced class.

Carolo-Master-Cup@Home 2022 was divided into two stages. In the first stage, teams had to record videos of cars doing specified maneuvers in a simulated road setting, keeping in mind the road signs and obstacles. The second stage involved providing the technical description of the car to the commission, presenting the solutions employed in it, as well as outlining the project management system and the used workflow.

On March 17, we got the results: the WUT team finished third, blazing the trail in the competition's new, advanced class. KNR finished second and first in the 2020 and 2021 editions, respectively. At that time, students competed in the Basic category.
