We are proud to present the intellectual potential of WUT’s students, graduates and employees in the new folder entitled “Business - Innovations – Technology”
Warsaw University of Technology has researchers working on a range of scientific topics which are explored in different areas and on different scale. Often the outcome of these helps with development of new technologies or everyday products to come into being.
Here we would like to present the diversity of topics which are of interest to WUT’s researchers.

In July NASA said that for financial reasons they are giving up the launch of the 433.5 billion dollars’ worth VIPER rover designed to search for natural resources on the south pole of the Moon. In view of these limitations at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, can we still dream about exploration of natural resources and searching for traces of life on Mars?

CanSats, which are miniature research probes shaped and sized like a soda can, conduct various scientific experiments. However, to carry out their missions, they need a launcher—a special device to propel them. This is exactly what students from the Balloon Division of the WUT’s Student Space Association are working on. The first launches are coming soon.

An interdisciplinary team from the Warsaw University of Technology has begun work on the concept of creating a network of smart devices (equipped with IoT technology) on our Central Campus. One such device will be a "smart lantern," equipped with a set of sensors, actuators, and systems for communication with other similar devices. Implementing this solution will provide users of the WUT campus with various conveniences, such as reducing light pollution.

This stands for a new standard in data security against unauthorized access. Our researchers have developed a generator of cryptographic keys (or simply "secret passwords") that offers greater security than ever before, while being easy to use and cost-efficient, even in highly demanding cases. The solution has been granted the first European patent with unitary effect at the Warsaw University of Technology.

They do not occur in nature – they are designed and created by the human but they have amazing mechanical properties. These are tensegrity metamaterials. Their exceptional nature may be used in civil engineering but how can it be done in the optimal way? This is studied by researchers from the Warsaw University of Technology.

Researchers at the Warsaw University of Technology began work a decade ago on a system that allows organs to be stored outside the donor's body. Thanks to the system, developed by NanoSanguis, a company founded at the Warsaw University of Technology, in July 2024 it was possible to perform a kidney transplant operation on a pig whose organ was stored outside the donor's body for 12 hours.
