Appointment Process

As part of the initiatives undertaken by the university authorities between February 5 and April 27, 2018 - aimed at setting up a Team for Implementation of the HRS4R and OTM-R strategy, the following stages took place:

  • analysis of the documentation regarding the substantive aspects of the implementation process in order to properly select Team members,
  • conducting meetings with heads of university organisational units aimed at selecting members of the Implementation Team,
  • initiating the appointment process for Plenipotentiaries for implementation of the HRS4R and OTM-R strategy.

As a result of the initiatives undertaken, the Implementation Team was appointed on May 14, 2018 by Decision No. 69/2018 of the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology. Twenty Plenipotentiaries from various organisational units of the university were also appointed, whose task was to support the work of the Implementation Team in conducting surveys amongst researchers and doctoral students. Substantive supervision over the work of the Team was entrusted to the Vice-Rector for General Affairs.

Appointment Process

Professor Krzysztof Zaremba, PhD, DSc, who took the position of Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology on September 1, 2020, decided to give his support to the efforts of the Warsaw University of Technology to obtain the HR Excellence in Research Award, To that end he made a decision to appoint a Steering Committee, a Monitoring Group, and a Plenipotentiary for the Implementation of the HRS4R and OTM-R strategy. The appointment of the Steering Committee will ensure supervision of the processes related to the implementation of the HRS4R Strategy and the OTM-R Policy at the Warsaw University of Technology. It will enable the implementation of corrective actions in relation to the recommendations of the Monitoring Group and the Rector’s Team for the Implementation of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers at Warsaw University of Technology, and will ensure effective risk management in the implementation process.

The appointment of the Monitoring Group will ensure the proper monitoring of the implementation schedule of the HRS4R Strategy and the OTM-R Policy, and the identification of potential risks related to the implementation process.  The Monitoring Group will be responsible for the analysis of the factors influencing the implementation process of the HRS4R Strategy and the OTM-R policy.
