A WUT student becomes a vice-world champion in speed skating
The Polish sprinting team won the world championship's silver medal. Marek Kania, a student at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, was a member of the team.
Polish speed skaters trailed only Norwegians and slightly outpaced the Dutch.
This is another success of the Polish sprint relay team this season. Previously, Piotr Michalski, Damian Żurek and Marek Kania won the bronze medal in European championships and competed successfully in the Olympic Games in Beijing.
The World Cup was held in Hamar, Norway, from March 3 to March 6, 2022.
