The Symbol is a nationwide media program in which titles are awarded to companies, local governments, universities, institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, municipal companies and other major entities that operate best in their respective industries, contribute significantly to the development of Poland and become role models – Symbols.

The program was established in 2011 and has been run by the editors of Monitor Biznesu (an independent supplement to Rzeczpospolita daily) and Monitor Rynkowy (an independent supplement to Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily).

The Symbol is a reward for the contribution, a prestigious award and an authenticating title.

The Jury of the Symbol program is a group of specialists and experts in their fields.
