Agnieszka Kucharska, PhD, from the Faculty of Management at Warsaw University of Technology has been honoured with the prestigious international 2025 SAS Educator Award. This distinction recognizes academic teachers worldwide for exceptional teaching accomplishments and their dedication to advancing education in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and modern analytical tools.

Doctor Kucharska was distinguished as the EMEA region representative (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). The award acknowledges her longstanding contributions to developing innovative teaching methods in visual data analysis and integrating analytical technologies into education.

The selection committee particularly commended doctor Kucharska's leadership in implementing cutting-edge analytical tools and coordinating the groundbreaking microcredential programme: "SAS - Warsaw University of Technology Academic Specialization in Visual Data Analysis".

This programme represents one of WUT's first initiatives in digital skills certification, aligning with global education trends. Microcredentials provide students with industry-recognized validation of specific competencies, significantly enhancing their career prospects.

The comprehensive programme comprised 150 hours of instruction - covering the full data lifecycle from acquisition and preparation through to advanced analysis and reporting. Participants mastered principles of effective and ethical data visualization, applying these concepts across a spectrum of tools from fundamental visual analytics platforms to cutting-edge machine learning technologies. Certification required students to successfully complete all components of the specialized elective module with a minimum good grade, including: Methods and Models of Visual Data Analysis, Designing Management Dashboards, and Business Intelligence Systems Design Workshops.

This year's SAS Educator Award cohort featured outstanding academics from across the globe, including representatives from Malaysia, Brazil, the United States, South Africa, and Canada. Each honouree showed remarkable commitment to advancing data analytics education through innovative teaching practices. The prestigious awards were presented during the SAS Innovate 2025 conference in Orlando, USA, which ran from May 6-9.
