On January 29, 2025, an agreement was signed to cooperate on the development of hydrogen technologies and synthetic fuels. The document was signed by representatives from ORLEN S.A., the Warsaw University of Technology Płock Branch, and the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. On behalf of WUT, the agreement was signed by Prof. Renata Walczak, Vice-Rector for the Płock Branch of WUT.

The cooperation agreement was signed during the XXXI Chemistry 2025 Symposium organized by BMP at the Płock Branch of the Warsaw University of Technology. This is another step towards the development of Polish science and the chemical industry, which will contribute to the construction of modern, eco-friendly hydrogen energy and the production of synthetic fuels.

The partners will focus on the exchange of expert knowledge in the areas of energy efficiency and process-based production of synthetic fuels. A key element of the agreement is also the implementation of joint research and development projects, as well as the education of future specialists in these modern fields.

On behalf of the Płock Branch of the Warsaw University of Technology, the cooperation will be overseen by Prof. Janusz Zieliński and Prof. Grzegorz Makomaski. Their task will be to coordinate activities and support research and educational initiatives within the framework of the new partnership. The signed agreement opens up new opportunities for both students and researchers. Thanks to the cooperation with ORLEN S.A. and the AGH University of Science and Technology, project participants will have the chance to gain knowledge and experience in innovative areas of technologies of the future.
