CombAIns Secure Top Spot at Hack Carpathia 2026
The CombAIns team, composed of students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science of Warsaw University of Technology, has achieved another success. During the international HackCarpathia 2026 hackathon, the team won in the MedTech category and ultimately took first place in the entire competition. Our students created the project “Be Ready”, an educational application focused on women’s health prevention. This is yet another strong performance by CombAIns at Hack Carpathia.
The winning team is composed of students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science of the Warsaw University of Technology: Filip Langiewicz, Maciej Momot, Mikołaj Rowicki, Jakub Półtorak, Igor Rudolf and Michał Pytel. Their project was developed from scratch during the hackathon. Although the team consists entirely of men, the solution they proposed addresses challenges faced by young women and girls.
“Our project is aimed at girls who are preparing to see a gynaecologist for the first time. It is an educational platform that helps them understand what such an appointment looks like, what questions they may be asked, and what examinations might be performed. In addition, the platform also educates parents and partners, for whom we designed dedicated panels. They can learn how to talk to someone ahead of their first gynaecological appointment and how to support their comfort and wellbeing,” says Filip Langiewicz from the CombAIns team.
This is yet another strong performance at the Hack Carpathia hackathon. Last year, with the same line‑up, our students won in the AI LOT category.
“In fact, the idea to take part in this year’s edition had already emerged a year ago, after we participated in HackCarpathia 2025. We enjoyed the event so much that we were certain we had to return the following year, and that is exactly what we did. Before reaching the final, we first had to win one of the four categories: AeroTech, Cybersecurity, Open or MedTech. It was in MedTech that we managed to create the best project and advance to the grand final,” explains Filip Langiewicz. “The final consisted of a five‑minute presentation followed by three minutes of questions from the jury. After the win, we feel immense pride, especially because, as a group of six men, we succeeded in addressing such an important and often overlooked topic.”
As Filip Langiewicz notes, the event was once again organised perfectly, and the best proof of this is the fact that the CombAIns team returned to Hack Carpathia and is already looking forward to the next edition.
