Internationability of Polish Science and Higher Education
Polish National Agency For Academic Exchange (NAWA) celebrates second anniversary. On the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of establishing NAWA, on November 25-26, 2019 international conference "Internationability of Polish Science and Higher Education" will take place in Warsaw, Auditorium of Warsaw University of Technology (Main Building), Plac Politechniki 1.
The conference is aimed at providing the valuable input for a general reflection on how to develop cooperation of Polish researchers with the partners abroad, how to foster internationalisation of Polish science and how to promote and inform about the achievements of Polish science in order to attract foreign academic institutions to cooperate with Polish ones. One of the main goals of NAWA is to support the internationalization of Polish universities and research centres. The Agency provides universities with the necessary tools that can be vital to achieve their goals. It is worth to mention that NAWA programs were prepared as a result of careful analysis of the needs of Polish Academia. Taking this into consideration the natural partner of the conference is the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP).
During the conference NAWA will present the results of two years of functioning at all fields of its activity – both at international events around the world promoting higher education in Poland and as regards to the scholarships and promotion of Polish language. The presentation will see participation of both coordinators and beneficiaries of the given programmes. Conference will consist of six plenary sessions:
- Scientific success across borders
- International academic community in Polish research facilities
- From the idea phase to fruition
- It’s time for Poland now!
- International promotion of science
- Exchange of good practices, practice of good exchanges
NAWA invited renown speakers and professors from all over the world, including ACA Deputy Director – Irina Ferencz, DAAD Deputy Secretary General – Christian Müller, Director of Universities UK International – Vivienne Stern, and Prof. Eckhard Elsen, CERN (European Council for Nuclear Research) Director for Research and Computing as a Keynote Speaker.
