Istvan Nagy Award goes to Professor Mariusz Malinowski, PhD, DSc.

Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, PhD, DSc, has been the Vice-Rector for Research at the Warsaw University of Technology since 2020. He is also a member of the Council of Scientific Excellence of the first term, and is the president-elect of IES - IEEE Industrial Electronics Society.

Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, PhD, DSc, Vice-Rector for Research, WUT, was awarded for his outstanding contribution to the development of issues related to control in power electronics and supporting cyclical Power Electronics and Motion Control (PEMC) conferences.

The Istvan Nagy Award is the highest award given by PEMC. It is awarded every two years for overall achievements and contribution to the organization's activities. The nominees are assessed on the basis of criteria such as academic achievements, innovative research, publications in prestigious international journals or activity in organizations dealing with power electronics, electricity or control.

Istvan Nagy Award was presented to prof. Malinowski during this year's 19th International IEEE Conference on Power Electronics and Motion Control, IEEE-PEMC 2020.
