Tomasz Wiktorowski has been known to tennis fans for many years, but he is also a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology. He graduated from the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering in 2005. He uses his technical education in sport. He was Agnieszka Radwanska's coach and later a commentator and expert. At the beginning of December 2021, he started working with Iga Świątek. The first results and successes came in an instant. In 2022, Iga became the leader of the world tennis ranking (and remains so to this day), won two Grand Slam tournaments (French Open and US Open), and was unbeaten for 37 matches in a row (the longest such series in women's tennis for 25 years).

Tomasz Wiktorowski did not receive the Coach of the Year award in person. During the 2022 Champions of Sport Gala, which took place on 7 January in Warsaw, the coach was in Australia. It is there that the world's best tennis players, and thus also Iga Swiatek, compete at the beginning of each year. In a specially recorded video, he thanked for the award and emphasised that he treats it as an appreciation of the whole team that works with Iga every day.

- I would like to thank the competition's jury for this award, but as you know very well, in contemporary professional sport, without a professional and cooperating team not much can be achieved. This is why there are two more people with me - Daria Abramowicz and Maciek Ryszczuk - who are special to me and to Iga," said Tomasz Wiktorowski.

He then turned to his colleagues.

- My dear friends, thank you very much for the whole year of cooperation. We have travelled together, worked together and enjoyed success together.

There were more reasons to rejoice after the announcement of the results of the 88^th "Przeglad Sportowy" competition in the team, because the Athlete of the Year Award went to Iga Świątek.
