In June, we will learn a list of Top of the Top, i.e. the top 10 experts from AI in Poland, graphics: womenintechsummit.pl

Experts from the Warsaw University of Technology were included in the list of TOP-100 Women in AI – an elitarian list of Polish and foreign women working in Poland, who professionally deal with the subject of artificial intelligence.

Women specializing in various aspects of AI – from technological and scientific, through legal, to artistic - were selected for the TOP-100. To take into account these different perspectives, ten categories were used in creating the list: Fighting AI Bias, Ethical AI, AI Leadership, AI Research, AI Entrepreneur, AI Rising Star, AI Promoter, Young AI enthusiast, AI in Culture and Leading projects where AI is an important element.

The summary was prepared by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation in cooperation with experts from the Information Processing Centre – National Research Institute (OPI PIB).

Researchers from the WUT in the TOP-100 Women in AI:

  • Maria Ganzha, PhD, DSc., assistant professor from the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science (category: AI Research),
  • Agnieszka Geras from the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science (category: AI Rising Star),
  • Agnieszka Jastrzębska, assistant professor from the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering (category: AI Research),
  • Estera Kot from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and from Microsoft (category: AI Leadership),
  • Anna Kozak from the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science (category: AI Rising Star),
  • Barbara Rychalska from the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Sciences and Synerise company (category: AI Research),
  • Żaneta Świderska-Chadaj, PhD, Eng., from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Bayer (category: AI Research),
  • Prof. Teresa Zielińska, DSc, PhD, from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering (category: AI Research).

From the list of all women in the TOP-100 list, a chapter chaired by Prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska will choose Top of the Top, i.e. the 10 most outstanding experts from AI in Poland (one in each category), who will receive Excellence in AI Awards. The winners of the awards will be presented at the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit conference (7–8 June 2022).
