Our scientists presented with prestigious awards
Prof. dr hab. inż. Małgorzata Kujawińska and prof. dr hab. inż. Krzysztof Patorski from the Faculty of Mechatronics (precisely from the Department of Photonic Engineering, Institute of Micromechanics and Photonics) are among the winners of scientific awards granted by the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE).
Professor Małgorzata Kujawińska has received the SPIE Dennis Gabor Award for her exceptional contribution to the holographic technologies in optical metrology, optical imaging and optical information processing, as well as her unique dedication to the SPIE community and widely recognized international activity in the field of applied optical engineering.
The SPIE Dennis Gabor Award in the field of diffractive optics is presented in recognition of outstanding accomplishments in diffractive wavefront technologies, especially those that support the development of holography and metrology applications.
Professor Krzysztof Patorski has received the SPIE Chandra S. Vikram Award in Optical Metrology in recognition of his ground-breaking contribution to diffraction, interferometry, moiré fringe techniques, and fringe pattern analysis with applications in optical metrology, experimental mechanics, and biomedical engineering.
The SPIE Chandra S. Vikram Award is presented for exceptional contribution to the field of optical metrology. The award may be presented for a specific achievement, development, or invention of significant importance to optical metrology, or may be given for lifetime achievement.
