Sign up for the Falling Walls Lab Warsaw competition!
Calls for entries are open for this prestigious competition for students, PhD candidates, researchers, entrepreneurs, education specialists: people who have ideas on how to combat limitations in science, society, the economy or the tech industry. The winner of the Warsaw competition will travel to Berlin and participate in the prestigious Falling Walls conference.
Representatives of all areas can sign up for the competition – from pure, natural, engineering, medical and health sciences, through agricultural and social sciences, and humanities, all the way to the field of art and science. What matters is the idea and the ability to pitch it: in three minutes, in English, in front of an international jury.
Participants are also required to meet at least one of the formal requirements:
- hold a doctoral degree obtained no more than 5 years ago (i.e. after 01/01/2017),
- hold a master’s degree obtained no more than 7 years ago (i.e. after 01/01/2015),
- hold a bachelor’s degree obtained no more than 10 years ago (i.e. after 01/01/2012),
- currently be a student and/or a postdoctoral fellow.
You can enter through the form available on the competition’s website. The deadline is 15 august 2022, but all those who enter sooner (by 30 June 2022) will receive a book Sztuka promocji nauki. Praktyczny poradnik dla naukowców (The art of promoting science. A practical guide for scientists) and an invitation to a training session on public speaking.
A maximum of 20 participants will qualify for the final.
The initiator and organiser of Falling Walls Lab Warsaw is the company pro science. The Warsaw University of Technology will host the final, which will take place on 15 September 2022.
