The 2024 WUT Christmas Market is over
It was two days full of festive spirit. The square in front of the Warsaw University of Technology's Main Building was filled with market stalls, including our WUT stall, which was dedicated to charity. Thanks to your support, we raised 50,854.50 PLN for the 2025 Christmas Grant.
At the WUT stall, a variety of university-branded gadgets were available, including hats, socks, gloves, hoodies, bags, totes, keychains, and pens. We also offered gingerbread cookies, chocolates, and a new selection of honey from the university's apiary. The ornaments featuring the Main Building were a special highlight, but the real crowd-puller was the rosette-patterned umbrellas, which sold out almost instantly.
All the gadgets were available in exchange for a donation to the collection box. The funds raised will go toward the Christmas Grant – a special award for WUT students and doctoral students who actively promote our university and achieve success. This year, 14 new recipients joined this group, with the winners announced on the first day of the market. They are: Tomasz Kołakowski, Yelyzaveta Leshchenko, Piotr Mazowiecki, Magdalena Miętus, Monika Modrzyńska, Błażej Molas, Mikołaj Nowicki, Marcin Płatek, Rafał Pyżalski, Marek Rauchfleisz, Piotr Sieczka, Olgierd Skromak, Viktoriia Vlasenko, and Tomasz Żebrowski.
On the first day of the market, we also delivered Christmas trees to the WUT Faculties and showcased the new Christmas illumination on the Main Building (which will remain until the beginning of January). No market would be complete without surprises, and on the second day, we were delighted by a special visit from... Santa Claus.
The market also featured other stalls offering gifts and seasonal treats that captured the festive spirit, provided a great opportunity to buy presents, and offered delicious holiday snacks.
For the two days of the market, the square in front of the Main Building was buzzing with life. It was a truly magical event, and we’re already looking forward to the next (tenth!) edition of the market.
